Q: What does U Load mean?
A: This is a service where a bin is dropped off at your premises and left on site for a specified period of time so that you can load your unwanted materials at your convenience. We then pick up that bin and take it to the appropriate recycling or disposal facility.
Q: How does the booking process for U Load work?
A: This service starts with a call to 604-433-JUNK (5865) where you set up an appointment for us to drop a bin off at your home, business, or construction site. We discuss what size options are available for the materials you need to remove. We can also book a pick-up date for the bin or we can leave it open so that you can call when finished loading the bin.
On the appointment day, we drop a bin off in the area that you have requested and come pick it up when scheduled.
Q: Can I put drywall into the bin?
A: No. Drywall is banned by the G.V.R.D. from landfills. As such all drywall must be kept separate in ANOTHER BIN or somewhere else so that it can be recycled and turned into new gypsum products.
Q: Can I put soil into the bin?
A: No. Soil is very dense and heavy and makes loads unsafe to transport when mixed in with garbage. Soil must be kept separate in another bin so that it can be recycled.
Q: Can I put concrete into the bin?
A: No. Concrete is very dense and heavy which makes loads uneconomical to take to the transfer stations. Instead concrete is recycled and made into new masonry products. Concrete must be kept separate in ANOTHER BIN so that it can be recycled.
Q: Can I put garden refuse into the bin?
A: Yes. Most smaller tree trimming materials can now go into our standard garbage bins. We work with a local recycler who sorts the bins out after we empty them.
Q: Can I put electronics into the bin?
A: No. For this service please look into our WE LOAD services or call 604-RECYCLE for do-it-yourself options. Or, you can put it beside the bin and for a small fee we can recycle it.
Q: Can I put appliances into the bin?
A:Yes, we now work with a local recycler who can recycle the appliances that are inside the bin.
Q: Can I put cardboard or office paper into the bin?
A: Yes. We now work with a local recycler who can recycle the cardboard and office paper that is put into you bin.,
